Our Award Banquet in The Grand Ballroom culminates three days of our World Festival on The National Mall.

You can come join us and see us celebrate on Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the L’Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington DC. Tickets are $100 per person. Bring the flag so you can place it on your table as a centerpiece.

The World Children’s Award Banquet is a very special celebration that takes place in Washington. Here are some reasons:

• Distinguished guests present Arts Olympiad Award to the winners of the Arts Olympiad from about 30 U.S. states and nearly 50 countries
• Certificates of Appreciation are presented to military families who host the international delegates at their homes for the festival week
• The DC Ambassadors – selected from DC Public Schools to serve as ambassador to international delegates – receive Global Understanding Certificates
• Children’s gifts to fathers – artworks that children create that same morning as tribute to Father’s Day
• Amazing musical and dance performances by us and our friends

This Festival’s Award Banquet is special also because it falls on Father’s Day. On June 19th morning we will create artworks as tributes to our fathers. At the Banquet we will present these works as gifts to our fathers. You and your children can also join us in this special tribute. Bring your family to the Festival on The National Mall at 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Then hurry home to change quickly and arrive at the Award Banquet no later than 6:30 PM.

The Award Banquet is an emotionally charged time for us. We must say our goodbyes. For three days we make new friends and communicate through the universal language of art which overcomes any language barrier. But now we part. We make promises to keep in touch every day to meet again soon, perhaps at the 5th World Children’s Festival in 2015.
