The 4th World Children’s Festival on June 17-19, 2011 on The National Mall is open and free to the public. Donations are encouraged. The Festival opens at 10:00 AM with a 60-minute opening ceremony. Important people come to address us and share their experiences and guidance. We will present the 2011 World Children’s Award to one or more notable leaders.

From 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM you can participate in any of the workshops and activities hosted by eminent educators and field experts ranging from Olympians and professional artists to scientists and technologists. You can see our performances all day long. You can create art with us or exercise or learn how to save lives. You will find the Festival to be a transformative experience where our creativity and co-creation become building blocks for innovation and positive social change.

While most workshops and activities are for schoolchildren and their teachers and parents, a few activities are designed specifically for pre-schoolers. Grandparents often join in and help out. Friday, June 17th, 2011 is on the theme of “Health & Environment.” Saturday, June 18th, 2011 is on the theme of “Creativity & Imagination.” Sunday, June 19th, 2011 is on the theme of “Peace & Leadership.”
